Finding out how the design of sneakers has changed over a decade has been our starting point for our new sneaker designs.

We found out that sneaker design often has an artistic approach. We wanted to make it a design approach and started with design research. The primary purpose was to understand how sneaker design has changed over a decade. Also, we decided to define other research goals.
1) „Which materials are essential for sneaker design?“
2) „Is laser-cutting a practicable technology for cutting leather?“
When you study design, strictly your ideas come to market when you achieve them at your university. So, while our material and laser-cutting studies went hot, the Asics Gel Lyte V laser cut pack arrived in the stores. In the end, we achieved much knowledge about laser-cutting and Nike sneakers.
